Is Love Grown coffee mold-free and toxin-free?

All of our coffees are mold-free, pesticide-free and BPA-free.

We start with premium Parainema beans tested rigorously for purity. Our coffee pods are made with plant-based materials, not plastic. The result? Delicious flavor, rich aromas, and coffee that makes you feel good.

Love Grown Coffee is the first and only coffee brand to be Clean Label Project certified, rigorously tested to be free of mycotoxins, pesticides, microplastics, and other contaminants.

What makes Love Grown better than other cereals?

Love Grown is different—made with nutrient-dense beans for a more balanced breakfast with more protein, fiber, and clean ingredients to fuel your day. No artificial junk, no fillers, and less sugar!Plus- Love Grown is the only cereal line that is fully Clean Label Project Certified.

Are your cereals gluten-free?

Yes, our cereals are made from beans and brown rice, which are naturally gluten free. Plus, we're certified by the Gluten Intolerance Group.

Are your cereals allergen-friendly?

We do not use any of the top 9 allergens as ingredients in our cereals (milk, eggs, fish, shellfish, tree nuts, peanuts, wheat, soy, or sesame).

Our cereals are made in a facility that also processes products containing these allergens. Because of that, we follow strict cleaning and allergen-control procedures before our products are made. While these controls are designed to prevent cross-contact, we want to be fully transparent that the facility does handle other allergens.

Can I choose between pods, whole beans and ground coffee?

Yes! You can select your preference when ordering. Mix and match, or stick with your preferred brewing method.

Is Love Grown certified Organic?

While Love Grown cereals and coffee are not currently organically certified, we went a step further and are the only cereal certified by the Clean Label Project. This independent non-profit organization rigorously tests our products for contaminants like heavy metals, pesticides, and plasticizers, and we meet their strict safety standards. Organic certification is costly, and while it offers some assurance, it only certifies the farming practices and not the finished products.

Do Love Grown cereals contain seed oils?

You'll be happy to know that Love Grown cereals are completely free from seed oils. We use olive oil in our products.

What makes Love Grown Low Acid?

Our coffees test at a 5.5pH. By starting with coffees grown at lower elevations (higher elevations means higher acidity), then roasting them carefully, we create a lower-acid coffee without sacrificing flavor depth or quality.

Environmentally positive and delicious

Anyone with a passing concern for the environment is offended by the environmentally offensive non-biodegradable K-Cup. And, the tastes of the coffee produced by all of the K-Cups I have tried leave a great deal to be desired. So, it is a transformative opportunity to have a choice of a biodegradable K-Cup that can compete with the best brewed coffee out there. Love Grown Compostable Coffee Pods (I chose dark roast) produce delicious coffee and also allow the customer to feel good about the by-products of each brewed cup. Too much plastic

Too much plastic. Each coffee is wrapped in plastic. Don’t want to have to deal with opening it when I first wake up and it seems not environmentally and it’s noisy first thing in the morning.Also the plastic makes them bulky to store.

I am somewhat new to coffee, having been a tea drinker for much longer. Just learning to navigate the world of “clean coffee”. I had no idea coffee could have so many harmful properties. As I’ve learned more, I seriously considered giving up on coffee and going back to exclusively drinking tea. Then I found the Clean Label Project’s list, and Love Grown is at the top. Finally a coffee I feel safe drinking. And it’s good! I’ve tried the dark roast and find it milder than most dark roast coffees I’ve tried, which is fine. It still has that dark roast quality, just not as intense. I’ve brewed it with an aeropress and chemex, expecting the taste to have more punch with the aerobrew, but it was about the same. Not a bad thing, as I like consistency. I’m learning about acrylamide in coffee, and would love to see steps to reduce or eliminate it, but Clean Label Project mentions light and dark roasts have the least acrylamide, so I’ll be sticking with that. Overall, a great coffee and I would recommend it to anyone!
