August has been a big month at Love Grown AND in my personal life.
I got married (and featured our Cold Brew in one of our signature cocktails)!
We launched 6 new Cold Brew varieties!
The Clean Label Cereal Report came out!
We have a brand new brew bottle that we need your help naming!
So many things that I wanted to make sure you didn't miss any of them.
Now you may be wondering… Katie, how do you do it?
The answer is of course: coffee! And our new Calm WellDrops.
(Just kidding. It's therapy, a supportive team, my wonderful new husband, exercise AND the aforementioned coffee and Calm).
Anyway, back to Growing Love Grown.
Two big surprises in August
There are two things that really surprised me this month so far.
First, how much you LOVE our new 50 count plastic-free coffee pods. I mean, we figured it would be helpful for those of you who were already buying multiple boxes. But we're blown away by how many of you are choosing these over our 15 count. This was an idea from some of our customers, and man… you guys were on to something!
And second… The Clean Label Project Cereal Report is here! We've known that CLP was working on this report for quite some time, but we had no idea when it would come out or if we'd be included. So we were SO happily surprised this week to see the report in the world. We're so grateful to be included as part of their honor roll, and honored to be in such good company with three other great cereal brands. Every decision that goes into making Love Grown a Purity Award winning cereal is one we've made on purpose, and it's not easy. But we're thrilled that the hard work pays off, and we can create a cereal that's not only delicious but is among the cleanest you can get. THANK YOU to the team at Clean Label for all that you do—we're so thrilled to be able to partner with you in your mission.
Everything's coming up Cold Brew
Summer is almost over, but cold brew season is ALL YEAR LONG in my humble opinion. We're so excited about our new cold brew lineup and I am just dying to know what you all think. Here are the highlights:
Decaf and Half Caf—inspired by my Mom! Lisa keeps her caffeine consumption to the morning, but loves an afternoon decaf treat and has been on the hunt for decaf cold brew for years. It's nearly impossible to find… most coffee shops don't have it, and any she's found in the grocery store she's been pretty disappointed with. So consider me thrilled that we've created one she actually LOVES!
Caramel and Vanilla—these are just beyond delicious. I love caramel in particular because you can sprinkle it with a little sea salt and it reminds me of Vietnamese salted coffee. There's also something really special about our flavors: we infuse them rather than using liquid extracts (which can often have questionable ingredients in them).
Lion's Mane: there is too much to say about this extra special functional mushroom cold brew. The ingredient we use and the cold brewing process mean you get up to 100x more mushrooms in your cup, and that means more of the benefits. Plus, you can't even taste the mushroom.
And of course—dark roast, for those of you who love a roasty roast. I don't know if I've ever seen a dark roast cold brew so I'm happy to oblige.
We just launched some variety packs which are a great way to check out some of our newer flavors.
P.S. We made a cold brew martini as one of our signature drinks at my wedding. I wrote about it here—including the recipe to try it at home.
Introducing our new XL Brew Bottle
There's a new brewer on the block. It's my personal favorite because my husband and I drink a lot of cold brew. And it needs a name!
Here's what you need to know:
- It brews over 100oz of cold brew (~3–4 brew bags at a time)
- It has an easy pour spout that locks to prevent leaking
- It can sit sideways or stand up, and fits on most fridge shelves
We've asked the entire Love Grown community to help us come with a name and some really great ideas have been coming in. We can't wait to put it to a vote.
That wraps up the twelfth edition of Growing Love Grown. We're so grateful for your support, as always.
With love,
Katie
